production log 2 ( photo essay)

I took about 20 photos, each individual shots to tell my story. My story is about a person waiting for someone to come home. Not the best idea but i think its a really good idea.

I had trouble with opening my photos, maybe an error made at home as some of the other pictures i took after adding most of them. The ones that are working are not relevant so i couldn't use them. I will have to try them at home and see if i cant get them to work and make my film during another lesson.

If not, i will have to take new photos and make a whole different story.

My photos are really good , some of them being better than others. I took most of them while it was sunny so i could use the light to make my photos better.

clip evaluation ( tim burtons 9)

As the clip starts , i decided it would be in the cathedral with a purple window, the floor is made of wood and the walls are plain bricks. Number 9 and number 1 are arguing and a strange flying thing passes the cathedral window, makes them to look out of the window as it flies past and the camera follows it quickly. I have added in a swooping noise of the bird robot, passing by.
Number 1 knows there is something wrong, so he starts to back away in fear using a full body shot. At this point, a sound that signals something is drawing near plays before the robot bird smashes threw the window and scatters all the characters around and leaves glass all of the floor.
As it lands, the bird knocks over a bowl that has a fire lit inside, i have added the sound of something metal but with a low bass so its sounds heavy.
Everything calms down and the bird takes it time to move and i get a close up shot of the bird coming in towards the others and a loud thud of the bird digging its claw into the wooden floor.
The characters begin to move as the bird descends upon them and the bird stops and screams at the four of them. The scene goes on to find out that number 1 was hiding behind a board but the board falls down and a sound effect has been added to it. The robots attention is drawn to him with the small sound of grinding metal.
As soon as the board hits the floor, music plays. Its a orchestra playing a fast paced sound and on a rather high note to create tension.

I picked my poem first before making my video and then put the righting on after. Some shots were slightly to dark and needed to made a bit lighter.
I did five shots so i could use different ones or change things slightly.

We are asked to film a video with 3 clips. The first one being 5 seconds long , the next one being 7 seconds long and the last being 5 seconds long.
For my video, i will look online for poem examples and use them as ideas. Maybe using a poem that involves nature and animals.

Yesterday i took in my video clips to be edited. The film took some time to do as music wouldn't be added to it.

finished my video yesterday, took about half an hour. Could have gone better but overall i am happy with the videos that i've got.

i will need a shot list and edit decision list, also i will need t pick a member of family or the community and let us know what you like about them and why ( slides and writing in the film).
could be an interview type video or ' a day in the life' and no longer than 1 min

film plan

Over the next few days, i will have to film something i like so i can edit the film in next weeks lesson. i will have to decide what i m going to film and what i will need to go with the film.

what i did today

today half of the group went out and filmed a number of people asking only one question. The aim of the video was to catch peoples expressions when they were put in the spotlight and with an unexpected question to answer.
in class the other half edits there own film from home and puts it up on there blog so at half 3, the class could view everyones videos

5x5 film proposal

A synopsis

The film will have five films, each lasting five seconds. The film will be about local parks, theme parks ( stachets) children's parks ect.

The audience 

The target audience is no one in particular, its for all ages because its has a good theme for all and would be fun for everyone to enjoy.

The big idea

The whole idea is to show people different parks for both children and adults.It will contain different angles and a good view if the park in a small amount of time. The films main goal is to show viewers local parks and the different types.

The conflict

For such a short film, there seems to be nothing to conflict for peoples views.

The structure

The begining will slowly introduce people to the theme and gradually build the film up and pull in peoples intrests
The middle will show more of a range of parks and would be the most point of intrest in the whole film and would also hopefully have caught viewers intrests and at a good level and again
The end will slowly close the film, gradually lowering intrest and drawing the film to a close meaning it will start to lack in intrest but wouldn't get rid of viewers interest.

The resoloution 

The film will end in a park but will gradually seem to be coming to a close.
